Collection: Andrea Lembke Steen

I craft pottery rooted in tradition—but often with a twist. I do small series, Scandinavian design. My hands chase the perfect shape. Then comes the contrast: unexpected details, patterns of perforated holes that let light dance and shadows play. I work with different stoneware and white porcelain, My color world is calm —earthy beige and warm browns paired with matte whites, aqua greens, and blues. I often keep the surface raw for a tactile feeling.
When inspiration hides, I turn to nature’s treasures: the intricate geometry of a sea urchin or the vibrant mystery of a pomegranate, creating new spark. The artichoke shape is a bit of my signature.
