About Milou

"After my first month in daycare my mom received a frantic phone call: “SHE WON’T COME OUT OF THE ARTS & CRAFT ROOM AND PLAY WITH THE OTHER KIDS”. After discovering my love for creating, I often spent my evenings and weekends at local workshops (always drastically bringing down the average age among the participants).

Thanks to being raised by parents in textile retail, I learned how to sew before I could walk. Even after attending various workshops in everything from baking to papier maché sculpting and candle painting; sewing always remained my first love. A skill that turned out to be especially handy when I became a teenager and developed a love for designer handbags. Over time, something that started as me trying to make dupes of all the high end bags I couldn't afford, turned into a business venture.

Finding a balance between the girly and pink fabrics that inspired me as a young girl and the monotone fabrics I love today, is at the core of my brand. With mostly thrifted fabrics and good handwork, my goal is to provide sustainable laptop cases and makeup bags at an affordable price point.
