Alexandra paints poetry — lyrical abstraction — and most of her works either emerge from poetic texts or are later accompanied by them. Through her art, she seeks to share the way she perceives the world, inviting the viewer to step into and experience her visions.

Her paintings do not depict clouds or seascapes. Instead, they illustrate what she imagines emotions might look like if we could see them. For this reason, she often blends warm and cool tones, darkness and light — because we rarely feel just one emotion at a time.

Alexandra has painted abstractly for over eighteen years and has refined her technique of using multiple thin layers and soft transitions for nearly eleven. The process itself is an essential part of her artistic expression; therefore, she works exclusively with brushes — never sponges, spray paint, or mediums. All her paintings are created with acrylics.
