My name is Alberte and I made the series EBB&FLOW which was born out of a love for the Danish coasts and the very special moment when the tide recedes and leaves fine patterns in the wet sand. The phenomenon is called Ebbe in Danish – a word that I have always found incredibly beautiful, and which my eldest son also carries. I have always found a deep peace in walking along the water and watching how the sea and the sky constantly change color and character. The glazes in EBB&FLOW are my attempt to capture that atmosphere; they reflect the nuances of the horizon and nature's own calm rhythm.
