Product Description

Do you like personalized magnets to stick on your fridge? These rectangular plates with a strong magnet attached to the back are completely unique and handmade, glazed in earthy tones.

Here’s how they’re made:

I use a special kind of large and heavy rolling pin to make slabs of clay, the technique is called slab-building. I cut out the shape with a rectangular tool. When the item is finished, I leave it to dry before it can be bisque fired, then glazed, and then high-fired to approx 1260˚C (cone 8). The whole process takes a couple of weeks from start to finish.
