Are you looking for a small, unique plate for your tea bag or favorite jewelry? Gift yourself or your loved ones with a set of 2 small ceramic handbuilt plates in a mix of different sandy color tones.

Here’s how the plates are made:

I start by making templates in paper for all my designs. Then the clay is kneaded thoroughly. I use a special kind of rolling pin to make slabs of clay, the technique is called slab-building. When the item is finished, I leave it to dry before it can be bisque fired, then glazed, and then high-fired to approx 1260˚C (cone 8). The whole process takes several weeks from start to finish.
