Are you looking for something unique and full of Christmas spirit to decorate your home with? Gift yourself or your loved ones with this home decor, a set of 2 small ceramic handbuilt trees in earthy brown color tone. I make them in many different colors for options, to build your own personal little forest with.

Here’s a step-by-step of how they are made:

I start by making templates in paper for all my designs. Then the clay is kneaded thoroughly. I use a special kind of rolling pin to make large and thin slabs, the technique is called slab-building. They need to dry slightly before I can cut, bend and join the pieces of clay. When the item is finished, it must dry again before it can be bisque fired, then glazed, and then high-fired to approx 1260˚C (cone 8). The whole process takes several weeks from start to finish.
