Purple Blossoms is inspired by our purple lupines that adorn our roadsides throughout Sweden.

The background is in purple and green tones and gives a nice depth to the painting. The dark green part up along the edge of the painting is intended to represent an edge between meadow and forest.

The acrylic paints in this painting are mixed with a medium to make the paint thick and thus build structure on the canvas. Flowers and bumblebees therefore bulge slightly from the painting, I do this to emphasize a clearer 3D effect to the blurry background, a method that is inspired by Sarah McDonald Artwork.

All my paintings are surface-treated with varnish. I do this to protect your artwork against UV radiation, dust and dirt.
