This piece is wheel thrown from stoneware clay and hand-painted with vibrant underglazes before its initial firing. The hair pattern is coated with a transparent glaze and the face is left unglazed for a raw finish. The piece is then fired a second time. Each piece takes about 3-4 weeks to complete and is always unique.
