Recently exhibited at Madart Gallery, Museumplein, Amsterdam as part of Trach Bardo’s solo show, Gender 2 belongs to the artist’s vibrant Cactus Series. This collection explores the concept of characters within imagined environments. While most of Bardo’s works avoid human figures and focus purely on surreal landscapes, this piece introduces a subtle human presence inspired by a close friend of the artist who recently became pregnant, adding a personal and intimate layer to the composition.
Created with acrylic and acrylic markers on canvas, the painting features Bardo’s signature bold colors, sharp contrasts, and intricate details. It will be shipped rolled in a secure protective tube, and stretching or framing can be easily arranged at most art stores (frame not included).
