Wu Hao's paintings blur the line between what is sensed and how it is experienced. The reality she experiences is often more accurate in dreams. She works in the language of gestural abstraction, using dense texture and energetic line work to map her being's location. Her canvases are internal landscapes; instead of presenting what she sees, she paints where her being resides.
