About Simon
Hi, I'm Simon, a French and Canadian editorial, travel, and lifestyle illustrator and animator based in Copenhagen. My work is personal and tells stories about my Chinese heritage, queer identity, and life experiences. I have lived in many places, and some of my favorite cities are Havana, Seoul, Montreal, Paris, and Copenhagen. Each city gave me different emotions, and I try to capture those feelings in my art.
For me, art should be fun, colorful, and full of emotion. I want my illustrations to bring out feelings like nostalgia and happiness, creating a sense of warmth and connection. My style is a mix of editorial, cute, and a bit street. It fits in many places and adds a fun touch that helps people show their personality. I often use animals to bring a playful and lighthearted feel to my work.
Travel inspires me a lot. I like to draw places, people, and experiences to turn them into stories. Small details matter to me, like a quiet café corner or the energy of a busy street. I also enjoy drawing words that make people happy, adding a positive and thoughtful touch to my illustrations.
