Kollektion: David Larsson

I am a professional industrial designer, artist, and lecturer, working from my studio in Stockholm. Alongside my design practice, I have explored painting since the early 2000s, primarily in acrylic and gouache. Over time, this pursuit has grown naturally alongside my design work.
My paintings focus on geometric, non-figurative forms, often aligned with Concrete Art. I work at the intersection of concrete art, hard-edge painting, and modernism, exploring composition, color, and perspective. Through precise forms and distinct color fields, I investigate the relationship between surface, space, and balance. Guided by a search for purity and simplicity, I let color and form carry the entire expression.
This path brings me a sense of calm and order. In contrast to a chaotic world, harmony in color and composition feels quietly soothing, almost meditative. I hope my paintings spark curiosity and evoke the same mindful presence they give me.
