BJÖRG is a Swedish-Norwegian artist working with traditional ink and calligraphic methods. Each work begins with a blank sheet of paper—without a plan, without correction. The image emerges in one uninterrupted flow, shaped by a lived moment, a memory, or a thought passing through.

Her monochrome ink works are fragments of life: experiences, emotions, and reflections on identity, power, and human tension—captured in the instant they arise. The process is instinctive and physical, where the hand follows feeling rather than intention.

As BJÖRG describes it:
“When I get a strong feeling, I let it run through me and the pencil until the feeling leaves me with inner peace, trapped in the inked paper.”

Rooted in historical craft yet unmistakably contemporary, her work gives form to what is often unspoken, leaving meaning open to the viewer.
