Finished in deep black glaze reminiscent of slate, the vase is ever changing due to the irregularities and softened edges that catch and release the light. The surface moves between shadow and sheen, its darkness slowly giving way to unexpected tones where a quiet green emerges. As the glaze pools and thins, colour shifts appear like mineral traces in stone, revealing depth beneath the surface.
