Collection: Milk Pottery

About Sabel

I'm Sabel Yilmaz, an independent maker based in the sunny town of Kuşadası, Türkiye.

Milk Pottery started as a joyful exploration during the 2020 lockdown. What began as a hobby quickly blossomed into a passion. Then, in 2022, my work was accepted into the prestigious 1000 Vases Exhibition at Superstudio during Milan Design Week. This experience gave me the confidence to take the leap and launch Milk Pottery that same year. My journey then took me to Toronto, Canada, where I honed my craft at Creations and Art Pottery Studio. There, I found inspiration amongst fellow artists and small business owners, even hosting a pop-up event at VdeV Toronto.

Now, back in my Kuşadası home studio, I'm pouring my heart into my "Dazed and Confused" collection. Each piece is hand-built, embracing beautiful imperfections and telling a unique story through its marks and textures. I believe beauty lies in the unexpected – in mismatched colors, playful patterns, and one-of-a-kind pairings.
