About Martin
Hi! My name is Martin Wikestad, and I'm glad you've found your way here. My journey began as an elite alpine athlete, which gave me the chance to travel through Sweden's beautiful landscape and capture it through my camera. Today, I've traded my skis for a creative everyday life as an architect, photographer and designer.
My passion lies in discovering and reproducing the amazing nature around us, with a minimalist and stripped-down style. I draw a lot of inspiration from the Scandinavian design language, which permeates everything I create - from photographs to design objects.
With my images, I want them to be an invitation to stop, dream and see the world with new eyes. I hope they awaken the same joy and curiosity in you that I feel when I create them. Maybe they can even inspire you to go out and explore the beautiful country we live in.
