Margarida Lopes Pereira is a portuguese artist and product designer, based in Lisbon. Her work focuses on the domestic context - scale and everyday objects and materials - as well as in the exploration of craft techniques applied in new contexts. It aims to challenge our visual expectations and question the future of the objects we create. Attracted by its texture, both aesthetical and sensorially, Margarida has been working mainly with sponge, upcycled from furniture waste or industry surplus.
