About Camilla
During the training to become an industrial designer, I became attached to the material ceramics - how it constantly challenges and surprises me. After I got my master's degree, I therefore continued to work with ceramics. I mainly work with turning, but occasionally I also sculpt and paint on my creations. I also work a bit with glass design and other types of materials.
In the cold parts of the year, I work from Stockholm, but as soon as the heat comes back, I move the turntable out to the country where I sit outside and turn by Mälaren's shore. I often find inspiration for my ceramics there. From the water lilies in the lake to the clover that grows in the meadows. In terms of shape, I am drawn to light and calm shapes. That's why you often see that my ceramics have a pretty foot, thin edge and soft curves.
