In the myth, Medusa’s monstrous form represents the trauma of external violence, particularly sexual violence. Her ability to turn others to stone is not merely a curse but can be interpreted as a psychological defense against further harm. In my depiction, Medusa is neither entirely feminine nor masculine. I wanted her to be perceived as a human, as an experience, regardless of gender which, like her monstrous appearance, becomes irrelevant in the face of the human experience of suffering.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Ghada Ben Hassan","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":53895185793290,"sku":null,"price":1200.0,"currency_code":"SEK","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0697\/6831\/5146\/files\/productStorefrontImages_2FcV742jshF9SA76yhf3pj3vdXvIa2_2F10664833909002_2Fphoto-3.png?v=1791985993","url":"https:\/\/caycollective.com\/products\/medusa-original-art","provider":"Cay Collective","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
