The mug is large and holds more than 4 deciliters.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eHere’s how the mug is made:\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eI start by making templates in paper for all my designs. Then the clay is kneaded thoroughly. I use a special kind of rolling pin to make large and thin slabs, the technique is called slab-building. They need to dry slightly before I can cut, bend and join the pieces of clay. When the item is finished, it must dry again before it can be bisque fired, then glazed, and then high-fired.
